What: English Heritage are expected to monitor access to Stonehenge for the summer solstice again this year, from 8.30pm on 20 June until 8am on 21 June. See the sun rise (at around 4.45am) over the ancient stones in the company of around 20,000 druids, soapdodgers, travellers and the like. HARD ROCK CALLING

What: Formerly known as Hyde Park Calling, this classic rock-out in the Queen’s back garden offers certain visiting Glasto headliners the chance to make a weekend of it. The Killers (supported by The Kooks) appear on Fri, Neil Young (in a dreamy double act with Fleet Foxes) plays Sat, and Bruce Springsteen (warmed up by the Dave Matthews Band) springs from a cage on Highway 9 for Sun.
