It provides vocation-related services inspired by direct involvement in the music industry. Most of ATM’s 250 employees are musicians still actively working in music. THE BASEMENT STUDIO

Offers free live music, music tech, vocal and DJ/MCing with experienced music tutors and gear via twice-weekly sessions, plus free music tech or radio courses starting at basic level, using a wide range of music production software. Can record music demos and help with performance skills, and also run a range of outreach and special projects, from young people’s stages at festivals to creating film soundtracks and jam sessions. BRISTOL MUSIC FOUNDATION

It’s dedicated to identifying areas of need within the Bristol and South West music industry, and providing education and advice on all aspects of the music industry to individuals and organisations via seminars, forums, mentoring schemes etc. Its long-term aims are to encourage economic development within the Bristol music industry and promote/assist in the export of music from Bristol and the South West to other regions and countries, establishing solid links with the national and international music industry. Their latest partnership sees a link-up with Brighton festival The Great Escape in May.
